A high-design contemporary haven tucked into greenery, offering perfect privacy and uninterrupted views of the sea. The low-rise structure boasts confident, clean lines and bold geometries that contrast sharply with the surroundings and the island's architectural vernacular, and yet seems to completely integrate into its setting. To achieve that, the architect used uncovered slate, stucco and glass -materials that are give an austere but natural look. The outdoor area, fitted with a handsome wooden deck, features a sprawling swimming pool, shaded lounge and dining spots and indoor-outdoor pavilions with spectacular vistas.
Glass panels are used to create a perfectly seamless transition between outside and inside, so the living spaces were fitted with large glass doors that allow the landscape to flow right through the house. The décor pays tribute to modernism with wooden floors, concrete ceilings and an abundance of glass. The same principle applies to the bedroom, were furnishings are stripped down to the minimum to let the landscape play the leading role.
